As the owner of Full Draw Hunts, my goal is to provide each and every hunter with a memorable western Illinois whitetail hunting experience. This means keeping our camp small, personal and always quality driven. Just like you, I have spent the majority of my life chasing whitetails and learning their habits. Those experiences laid the foundation for my personal strategies and goals for Full Draw Hunts. As I approach 7 years of guiding experience, I look back at all the great memories made and great bucks harvested over the years and it really puts everything into perspective as to what this business is really all about. It's about giving each and every hunter an equal opportunity and the best chance possible to harvest a quality western Illinois whitetail. We have done a phenomenal job of this in the past while always striving to improve for the future. In my mind, the key is our small camp sizes and surrounding all Full Draw clients with guides that truly care and will do anything to see them be successful. These strategies combined with our extremely strict Quality Deer Management practices will continue to allow us to offer all of our hunters one of the highest opportunity rates in the entire state of Illinois.

Rodney Cook- Head Guide
Rodney Cook has spent his entire life in Adams county and has been a guide in the Golden Triangle of western Illinois for over 15 years leading to countless client harvest's and success stories. To call him an asset would be a huge understatement as he is a very well respected member of the Full Draw staff. Rodney's drive, motivation and passion for helping hunters reach their goals are what sets him apart. Whether its moving a stand in the middle of the night or spending 2-3 days tracking, Rodney is dedicated and there for anything that any Full Draw client may need. By taking such a hands on approach, Rodney has gained the reputation of one of the best guides in western Illinois and his success proves that year after year. Rodney is also and instructor for the state of Illinois' Hunter Safety Course and an avid videographer, who has filmed hunts all over the world including numerous dangerous game hunts in South Africa for Elephant, Cape Buffalo, Crocodile, Hippopotamus and Leopard. His experiences and videos in the dark continent definitely make for some interesting stories around camp.
Rodney also owns and operates Rock Solid Hunting Preserve, which is 1 mile west of the Full Draw lodge. Specializing in upland bird hunting over world class German Shorthaired pointers has given Rock Solid the reputation as the best place to hunt upland birds in western Illinois. It has also allowed us to be able to offer some great bird hunting packages in addition to your whitetail hunt. These hunts are a great addition to any early or late season whitetail package .
